After being cooped up in the house for the past week with hand, foot and mouth disease we decided to have a little messy fun! We made goop! The easiest and messiest fun you could have after being sick!
It's extremely simple to make. All you need is equal parts water and corn starch. Best part is if you have a younger child who eats things it won't hurt them either, they will probably only eat it once as I'm sure it isn't the best tasting treat!
A few additional experiment objects!
Let's get started! He is measuring out the water until he felt he had enough.
He liked how soft the corn starch was without the water so this process was one tablespoon at a time.
Now that we finally have our goop let's go all hands in!
Dripping from the basket was exciting and gooey and cold!
Completely in his zone experimenting with the thickness of the goop!
He felt some more water would be interesting. During this time I just sat back and watched him experiment with the mixture and texture. I did not interfere.
Goop soup anyone?
The view in a whole, somewhat messy but mostly contained. Great learning and sensory fun!
Thank you for stopping by!
